With so many beautiful typefaces out there in the world, I just see very few reasons to select Comic Neue for any project. But the fact remains that Comic Neue is still Comic Sans… better, but still basically Comic Sans. We’re so desperate for a Comic Sans replacement that we really want to like this new version. I think it’s almost easy to like this design initially, because compared to Comic Sans just about anything looks good. It might be a nice alternative for teachers to use in kids’ stuff (maybe?). And the lemon design is cute, I’ll give it that. At least it’s lighter, not so egregiously chunky as its predecessor.

And yet, there are those ever-optimistic people who are determined to bring back Comic Sans. So the real question is… Why in the world would someone try to reinvent and bring back Comic Sans?! Sometimes you just have to know when to call it quits and scrap something that stinks.
